Facilitated Admissions Agreement

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

This partnership is designed to introduce Spelman students to the process of applying for admission to law school, the nature of legal studies and the role of the legal profession in our society. Vermont Law School will provide Spelman students information on how to apply to law school. Vermont Law School and Spelman College will select one current student to participate in Vermont Law’s Summer Session Jump Start Program which provides the fundamental mechanics of how to study the law.

ADMISSIONS TO VERMONT LAW SCHOOL

Spelman student program participants must meet the following criteria in order to be admitted to Vermont Law School: A cumulative undergraduate grade point of a least a 3.2 by the end of their junior year, demonstrable service, leadership and / or volunteer activities with the Spelman community, preferably law-related, the receipt of an undergraduate degree from Spelman College, yearly review of student’s Character and Fitness by the Morehouse Pre-Law Advisor, and a strong showing on the LSAT exam.
