Biography

Prior to rejoining the VLGS community, Colette was an associate at a firm in Burlington, where her practice focused on complex civil litigation. Before that, her practice involved workers’ compensation defense and environmental law. Colette is a member of the Vermont bar and the New Hampshire bar. She is now the Assistant Director of Career Services, where she specializes in JD degree and career counseling, interviewing, and networking skills.

She received her law degree, cum laude, from Vermont Law School in 2020, where she served as the Editor-in-Chief of Vermont Law Review and was a Dean’s Fellow, a member of the National Moot Court Team, a Student Ambassador, and a Legal Research I Teaching Assistant. She was also a finalist in Vermont Law and Graduate School’s Debevoise Moot Court Competition.

Colette also obtained a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, in International Studies and Economics from the University of Hartford, where she graduated with University Honors (with Thesis) and was a Division I student athlete.
