This course focuses on race, the criminal jusitice system, and the potential role of restorative justice in healing racial divides and discriminatory injustice. Beginning with our founding documents, the course traces the disparate impact of the criminal justice systenm on people of color. Final assesssment is a graded paper. No prerequisite but Criminal Law is highly recommended.
