This course sets out, in three linked modules, the fundamental knowledge that professionals should have for working in the closely intertwined fields of energy andthe environment. Students may take one, two, or three modules for one credit each. MODULE C: LEGAL ESSENTIALS ENV5512 This module will explore the fundamentals of developing and financing an energy project. The course will include a brief overview of the key contracts necessary to develop an energy project including the power purchase agreement, the construction contract, and the fuel procurement agreement. In addition, the course will cover the principals of project finance and will introduce some of the key documents associated with a project financing including the offering document, the credit agreement, and the security documents.
