In the year prior at VLS, she was a visiting assistant professor, teaching Property Law, Professional Responsibility, Legal Methods, and Animals & the Law. An expert in animal law and food law, her scholarship focus has been on animals in agriculture, First Amendment and federal preemption implications for food labeling and animal advocacy, Fourth Amendment principles involving animals, and the public trust doctrine.
