J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah, 2003BA, Middlebury College, 1997802-831-1205<p>Hillary Hoffmann is a Professor of Law in the Environmental Law Center. She is also a Faculty Fellow in the Center for Agriculture and Food Systems, serves as the faculty advisor to the <em>Vermont Law Review</em>, and directs the annual Colloquium on Environmental Scholarship. Professor Hoffmann teaches courses in natural resources law, administrative law, and Native American law.</p> <p> Professor Hoffmann's scholarship has addressed the administration and enforcement of federal statutes related to natural and cultural resources. Recently, she has focused on regulatory changes required by climate change, particularly in the areas of livestock grazing, land management, and water allocation.</p> <p> Before joining the faculty at Vermont Law School, Professor Hoffmann practiced natural resources law at Fabian & Clendenin, PC, in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she represented several conservation organizations in federal court and before the Department of Interior’s Office of Hearings and Appeals.</p> <p> Professor Hoffmann received her BA in Spanish literature with High Honors from Middlebury College in 1997. In 2003, she received her JD from the S. J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah. In law school, she was a William H. Leary Scholar, the Richard L. Dewsnup Fellow in Natural Resource Law in 2001-2002, and served on the <em>Utah Law Review</em>. She is a member of the American Bar Association's Environment, Energy, and Resources committee, the Vermont Bar Association, and the Utah Bar Association.
