"VLS was a place where I could indulge my passion for food and health when the notion of being a food law attorney seemed far-fetched. And for that I will be forever grateful."

– Carrie Scrufari LLM'16, Associate General Counsel, Food and Drug Administration (FDA)

"The staff at the Center for Agriculture and Food Systems are experts in their fields and also wonderful people to work with and learn from."

–Alyssa Hartman MFALP’19, Executive Director, Artisan Grain Collaborative

"I love being contacted by students who are interested in getting into the field. I do what I can to support them, because it's so important that we have people working on the policies, laws, regulations, and systemic issues that are impacting farmers."

–Kelly Damewood JD'13, CEO, California Certified Organic Farmers (CCOF)
