Call of the Wild, Allison Buckley MELP'10

​​​VLS alum Allison Buckley's MELP'10 role as Natural Resources Planner has given her the chance to help conserve thousands of acres of land.​

The Work // Protects natural resources and creates public recreation policy for state-owned lands in upstate New York.

Recent Accomplishment // Created management and recreation plan for 90,000 acres of public and easement land recently purchased by the state of New York, most of it in the Adirondack Park.

Outdoor Passion // Backcountry skiing, rock climbing, ice climbing—“... anything that takes me to new places.”

In Her Own Words // “It’s important to protect wild places so people in future generations will have the chance to know what it feels like to discover them.”
