Three Plus Master’s Program, Accelerated JD or JD Program

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

This agreement is designed to give opportunities for all Colby-Sawyer College students to consider a graduate or professional program of study in law, policy, or governmental regulations. Students have the opportunity to achieve a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree or a Juris Doctor (JD) Degree in four, five or six years.

REQUIREMENTS

A Colby-Sawyer College student must maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.2 at all times after acceptance by the College’s Law School Articulation Agreement Coordinator; submit a plan demonstrating how the student will complete all general education and major requirements by the completion of their junior year; and submit a Statement of Interest to the College’s Law School Articulation Agreement Coordinator by the end of their sophomore year. Colby-Sawyer College students must meet the median acceptance scores at VLS for the prior year. Colby-Sawyer College students who apply for the Accelerated JD must meet the 155 LSAT and 3.2 GPA requirements for this program. Students should have no evidence of Character and Fitness concerns that would disqualify the applicant from admission.

APPLICATION PROCESS

Students must apply for the dual-degree program at Colby-Sawyer no later than the end of their sophomore year. Students should apply to Vermont Law School by March 31st of their Junior year. For students applying to the JD program this includes the LSAT no later than February of their junior year.
