SOUTH ROYALTON, Vt. (May 30, 2026) — Barbara McAndrew has joined Vermont Law and Graduate School as its vice president of alumni relations and development.

McAndrew is an accomplished nonprofit executive, bringing significant experience leading mission-driven organizations in fundraising, program development, governance and organizational excellence. Her career is defined by a commitment to strengthening institutions that serve communities and advance environmental, economic and social change.

“Barbara is an experienced leader who brings deep expertise in philanthropy and engagement,” said Dean Beth McCormack. “It’s an exciting time for VLGS as we round out the 50th anniversary fundraising campaign, and we are delighted to welcome Barbara to the team as we continue planning for future initiatives.”

Prior to joining VLGS, McAndrew held senior advancement roles at UVM Health – Central Vermont Medical Center, ACLU of Vermont and the Institute for Sustainable Communities.

At UVM Health – Central Vermont Medical Center, she rebuilt the development program, grew philanthropic revenue and helped guide the strategic deployment of its endowment.

Through her work at the ACLU of Vermont and Institute for Sustainable Communities, McAndrew secured major gifts and multiyear grants, strengthened donor and partner networks, and helped the organizations expand their reach and impact.

She began her career in international nonprofit development and corporate operations. McAndrew holds a bachelor’s degree from Colgate University and is a Vermont Leadership Institute graduate.

McAndrew takes over for Dave Celone JD’92, who has skillfully served in the role since 2023, leading to his retirement from VLGS in June 2026.

“I am thrilled to join VLGS, particularly at a time when its mission is essential to our country and world,” said McAndrew. “I see this role at the intersection of all of my previous work and I’m honored to have the opportunity to contribute to the strong future of this incredible, independent academic institution in the heart of Vermont.”
