What was SPEAK up to last semester?

• Provided free debate instruction to individuals incarcerated at the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility and the Woodside Juvenile Correctional Facility, Vermont's only all-female and juvenile facilities.
  
• Hosted Chittenden County State's Attorney T.J. Donovan to discuss his vision for criminal justice reform in Vermont.
  
• Worked with BLSA and LALSA to host the "Race, Law, and Community Policing" conference.
  
• Hosted "Ready to Run!" with Emerge Vermont, former Gov. Madeleine Kunin, Rep. Kesha Ram, State's Attorney Rose Kennedy, and Ashley Hill.
  
• Provided the "SPEAK With Us!" radio program.
  
• Offered public speaking instruction to VLS students through the "SPEAK Masters" program.
  
• Presented at the New England Clinician's Conference hosted by Harvard Law School.

Electing a new SPEAK Treasurer and President-Elect for the 2016-2017 academic year.

Co-sponsoring the Solutions Conference with the Environmental Mission Scholars, Federalist Society, and Veterans Law Students Association.

The "SPEAK With Us!" radio program.

"SPEAK Masters!" public speaking instruction.

Offering SPEAK debate programs at the Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility.

Expanding SPEAK's reach to offer debate instruction in Baltimore City Public Schools.
