Emerging Environmental Law Curriculum

End Date: 10/22/2019 - 3:00pm

Chase Center

The Environmental Law Center presents “The Emerging Environmental Law Curriculum,” a conference for law professors on new directions in environmental law curriculum. In addition to sharing best practices panelists will discuss:

  • How should legal curriculum evolve as environmental law evolves and expands?
  • How can we teach broad and/or emerging issues like climate or food law in coherent ways?
  •  What impact does the current Administration have on how environmental law should be taught?
  • Does a conservative SCOTUS affect how/what we teach about environmental litigation?

The conference will include dinner and a keynote address on Thursday evening, a full day of panels and discussion on Friday, a workshop for panelists on Saturday morning, and optional social activities on Saturday, including a farm tour and Vermont brewery crawl. Vermont is a lush and green place to visit in the summer, and Vermont Law School is the perfect setting for a discussion about the environmental law curriculum of the future. Join us!
