Biography

Jim began his career as a Peace Corps Economic Development Volunteer in Southwestern Uganda from 2012 to 2014, where he partnered with coffee cooperatives, strengthened village microfinance institutions, and supported forest preservation efforts in the Virunga Mountains to help protect critical mountain gorilla habitat. That formative experience shaped his commitment to service and sustainable development, which he carried forward into federal leadership roles at the Peace Corps, USAID, and the United States Institute of Peace. In these positions, he managed complex global budgets, advised on financial strategy, and strengthened institutional compliance.

As chief financial officer at Vermont Law and Graduate School, Jim draws on both his international and federal service background to steward resources and support the mission of advancing justice and environmental stewardship.
