Biography
Elizabeth Smith attended Slippery Rock University, where she majored in environmental studies with a minor in biology. She earned a JD and Master of Arts in Environmental Law and Policy from Vermont Law School in 2017. Elizabeth worked for U.S. Congressman Matt Cartwright before joining the Humane Society Legislative Fund in 2018 to do regulatory and legislative work on a variety of animal welfare issues. She joined the ASPCA’s Puppy Mill Initiative on the Legal Advocacy and Investigations team in April 2024.
