Biography

Mark Sciarrotta is the Vermont Electric Power Company’s (VELCO) Vice President, General Counsel, Corporate Secretary, and Chief Compliance Officer. For over two decades, he has helped advance the company’s mission of creating a sustainable Vermont through VELCO’s people, assets, and operating model. He previously served as a Vermont Assistant Attorney General, specializing in environmental enforcement and appellate advocacy, clerked in the Vermont Superior Court, and worked in private practice in New York City. He is a past president of the Vermont Law and Graduate School Alumni Association and has served on boards for several entities including Renewable Energy Vermont, the Vermont Bar Foundation, and the Vermont Board of Bar Managers. Mark lives in Montpelier, Vermont, with an ever-evolving mix of kids and pets.
