Biography

Catie Holcroft is an Equal Justice Works Fellow, sponsored by the Mansfield Family Foundation, at the Center for Justice Reform Clinic.

Catie’s work centers on representing survivors of human trafficking in vacatur and expungement litigation, as well as petitions for immigration relief based on survivor status. Catie also supports the other expungement and post-conviction relief work of the clinic.

During law school, Catie completed clerkships with the Vermont Prisoner’s Rights Office, The Legal Aid Society’s Criminal Defense Project, and the Capital Habeas Unit of the Federal Community Defenders for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Catie was also a student attorney in the Defenders Clinic at the City University of New York School of Law where she prepared clemency applications and parole appeals for clients serving death by incarceration sentences in New York State prisons.

Prior to law school, Catie spent eight years working in nonprofit community education programs and legal services in Washington State.
