Biography
Professor Jessica Durkis-Stokes joined VLGS from the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law, where she was a member of the faculty for ten years. She specializes in legal analysis and writing, bar preparation, and the law of sexual violence. Prior to working in academia, Professor Durkis-Stokes served as a judicial law clerk in the New Hampshire Superior Court for a number of years and then as a judicial law clerk for Justice Carol Ann Conboy in the New Hampshire Supreme Court. She is the co-author of a legal textbook, published by Carolina Academic Press in 2024, entitled “Utmost Resistance: Examining Sexual Violence Law in the United States.” She is a 2004 graduate of Vermont Law School.
