Biography

Ashely Monti is Staff Attorney at Legal Impact for Chickens (LIC). Ashely received her JD and Master of Food and Agriculture Law and Policy from Vermont Law School. After law school, Ashely served as a judicial law clerk for the chief justice of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court. Before joining LIC, Ashely was a Law Fellow and Counsel at the PETA Foundation. She has published work through the Center for Agriculture and Food Systems at Vermont Law and Graduate School and in the Vermont Law Review on issues related to food labeling and drugs used in animals for food. Ashely is licensed to practice in Maine.
