Graduate Certificate in Food and Agricultural Policy
Program Description
The Graduate Certificate in Food and Agricultural Policy offers early- and mid-career professionals, as well as JD students at VLGS and other law schools, core policy knowledge in food and agriculture and the opportunity to take two or more specialized elective courses.
Students can complete the Graduate Certificate online, on campus, or a hybrid of both. To obtain the certificate a student must earn 9 credits, including the required course Introduction to Food and Agricultural Law and Policy. The remaining courses can be chosen from an approved list of electives. A student pursuing a Graduate Certificate in Food and Agricultural Policy may apply earned credits toward the Master of Climate and Environmental Policy (MCEP), Executive Master of Environmental Policy (EMEP), or Master of Public Policy (MPP) degrees with approval from each program’s director.
