New England Veterans Advocacy Conference

July 24 @ 9:15 am 4:30 pm EDT

The South Royalton Legal Clinic’s Veterans Legal Assistance Project, with the generous support of the Thomas M. French Veterans Advocacy Fund, is honored to host the New England Veterans Advocacy Conference. This free, full‑day program is designed to prepare attorneys and accredited representatives to more effectively advocate for veterans navigating the VA benefits system.

The conference will feature two dedicated tracks—one for new practitioners and one for experienced advocates.

  • The new practitioner track will cover the fundamentals of managing VA claims, along with a session on obtaining VA accreditation.
  • For more experienced advocates, two advanced courses will address emerging issues, current trends, and evolving practice challenges.

Attendees will also receive an update from the VA on national and regional claims statistics, hear a keynote address on a topic of broad importance to the veteran community, and enjoy a networking and cocktail reception.

The conference, which will be held in person on the Vermont Law and Graduate School campus, will qualify for up to four (4) continuing legal education (CLE) credits.
