Biography

Barbara McAndrew is an accomplished nonprofit executive with significant experience leading mission-driven organizations in philanthropy, program development, governance, and organizational excellence.

Prior to joining VLGS, McAndrew held senior advancement roles at UVM Health – Central Vermont Medical Center, ACLU of Vermont, and the Institute for Sustainable Communities.

Her career began in international nonprofit development and corporate operations, giving her a unique perspective on mission-driven leadership and a gift for cultivating relationships, uncovering opportunities, and strengthening teams and organizations.

Barbara holds a BA from Colgate University and is a Vermont Leadership Institute graduate. She is deeply devoted to her family, loves to spend time outdoors, and is engaged in civic life as a select board member and community volunteer.
