With 2026 quickly approaching, we’re taking a moment to celebrate highlights from another impactful year at
Vermont Law and Graduate School (VLGS).

On October 25, Vermont Law and Graduate School (VLGS) announced Todd Tyson—founder and station manager of Royalton Community Radio (WFVR-LP 96.5 FM)—as the recipient of its 2025 Community Champion Award. This honor recognizes local community members for their friendship with and commitment to the school.

The award was presented during a campus ceremony in conjunction with VLGS’s annual Harvest Fest event.

Tyson was nominated by both a VLGS student and a staff member, both of whom underscored his long-standing support of the school and the South Royalton area, as well as his leadership in building a space for local voices.

Through his stewardship of Royalton Community Radio, he has strengthened connections and created opportunities for shared storytelling, music, and dialogue.
