Vermont Law and Graduate School (VLGS) had the pleasure of participating in the second annual White Coat and Gavel Games on September 20, 2025, at the University of Vermont. Over 100 students from the three participating schools—Dartmouth’s Geisel School of Medicine, UVM’s Larner College of Medicine, and Vermont Law and Graduate School—came together to participate in a day of sports tournaments, including soccer, basketball, volleyball, pickleball, ping pong, tennis, golf, ultimate frisbee, and a 5k race.

The festivities concluded with a barbeque and awards ceremony at Oak Ledge Park in Burlington. At the end of the planned events, VLGS and Larner College of Medicine were tied. The score was settled with a final tug of war challenge at the ceremony. Larner College of Medicine was the ultimate victor and holds the trophy until next year’s games.
Vermont Law and Graduate School students plan to help organize the third annual games, which will take place in September 2026. Start your training now, Swans! Let’s bring the gavel down.
The inaugural White Goat and Gavel Games was held in September 2024 and was hosted by the Geisel School of Medicine.
