NCRJ Art Entry #021 - A Just Relationship - Artist: Jean Cherouny

Layout Builder

Artist Statement:

The relationship is integral to the integrity and stability of our society.  Restorative practices are guided by the belief that the interconnectedness of all living is life-sustaining. In this piece, many different colored birds share their habitat.  Building relationships is the pillar of restorative justice.  In serving in the flight to justice, I have incorporated trust and reconciliation through valued relationships against a background of communal, colorful materials to build a nest. The richness of a place for finding support is a vital component of the relationship. The steady trust given to constructing health between all people forms a lasting relationship to the community with the focus on honesty and forgiveness.
