Artist Statement:
The cut in the tree represents the harm caused. It has revealed how connected we all are to each other, like the concentric circles of tree rings. Our pasts, presents, and futures are all woven together. Lady Justice observes the ripples of impact and stands ready to listen to the voices that need to be heard.
