NCRJ Art Entry #007 - Rebalancing the Scales of Justice - Artist: Jon Pointer

Layout Builder

Artist Statement:

The scales of justice have stood for the impartial weighing of the arguments both in support and opposition of a case.  Further symbolized by Lady Justice's blindfold, the intent has been for this information to be compared purely on its factual merit with no regard for anecdotal evidence.  Instead, as Restorative Justice shows, we must open ourselves to a more complete understanding of the situation, the realities of all of those involved, and the best way to repair the harm done.
