Artist Statement:
Thank you for this opportunity. I hope we can shift the legal and criminal detention systems of our country toward humane treatment. My image is reflective of the gentleness that is missing, and could be adopted to change the experience of the nations incarcerated people to one of healing. I created a line art work, so that organizations could use it as a logo or reduced size and place it on black and white documents.
