Taking Land for Power: Eminent Domain and Energy Infrastructure

5:30pm - 7:30pm

Chase Community Center

Join us to discuss pressing legal questions affecting Vermont and the nation: What is required to take land for energy infrastructure? What does "Public Good" mean? How is compensation determined? Is the system fair to landowners and surrounding communities?

Filmmaker and photographer Nicol Ragland visits Vermont Law School to share her latest film: "Trans-Pecos: The Story of Stolen Land and the Loss of America's Last Frontier." The showing will be followed by presentations by legal experts John Echeverria, Rob Woolmington, and James Dumont and a question and answer period.
Registration is free and a Tex-Mex dinner is provided.

CLE credit is available to attorneys.
