​Sherry Ramsey, National Director of Animal Cruelty Prosecutions for the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) will visit Vermont Law School to speak to interested students, faculty, staff or community members. Ms. Ramsey will focus her talk specifically on farmed animal abuse prosecutions and animal fighting prosecutions. This talk presents VLS members with a great opportunity to hear about national trends and issues with respect to animal cruelty prosecutions.


Prior to joining HSUS, Ms. Ramsey worked as a prosecutor in New Jersey handling animal cruelty cases. She now serves as a resources for prosecutors nationwide facing animal cruelty cases and also supports shelters and rescues attempting to navigate the legal system dealing with similar issues.
