On October 6th at 5:30 PM the Connecticut River Watershed Council (CRWC), a local non-profit dedicated to protecting the Connecticut River and longtime partner of the ENRLC, will be hosting a "Power of Water, Power of Words" event in the Chase Center.

You'll learn about the Connecticut River and the hydroelectric dams that are up for relicensing. You'll be invited to share your thoughts about what the river means to you. Those throughts - written on strips of paper - will be crafted into a "Stream of Conscience" art installation in the shape of a river, along with thoughts collected at other events across the region. Then, in an innovative form of advocacy, CRWC will share the art with state and federal governments as they make decisions about relicensing.

The event is free and open to the VLS community and the public. Snacks will be provided.

Email Laura Murphy with any questions or for more information. This event is held in partnership with the Vermont Law School Environmental & Natural Resources Law Clinic.
