The Environmental Law Society is hosting a free film screening of the film DAM-NATION this Upcoming Wednesday, November 12 at 5 pm. Refreshments will be served.

A brief panel discussion will immediately follow, discussing the history, benefits and prospects for removal of deadbeat dams in Vermont. Panelists are leading dam-removal authorities in Vermont, including:

  1. David Mears, Commissioner of the Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation;
  2. Kim Greenwood, Water Program Director and Staff Scientist for VNRC;
  3. Brian Fitzgerald, Dam removal expert and recent retiree from Vermont's DEC Water Quality Division, and;
  4. Ron Rhodes, Upper Valley River Steward for the Connecticut River Watershed Council, and who has recently completed a dam removal project in Groton, VT.

This will be a really provocative and insightful event, so please make an effort to come out!​​
