We are very honored to be hosting a delegation of Chinese environmental judges for a two-month training program here at Vermont Law School. The judges hail from courts all over China, including China's highest judicial body, the Supreme People's Court.

Please join us this Thursday, January 12th from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the Cornell Seminar Room as the judges give presentations to provide their very unique perspectives on China's environmental and legal challenges. Topics to be covered will include:

  • Chinese Environmental Law
  • The Chinese Legal System
  • Evidence and Liability for Environmental Matters in China's Court System
  • Environmental Public Interest Litigation in China
  • Environmental and Natural Resources Justice in China

The judges all have deep experience with legal and environmental issues in China, making this a very enlightening event. We hope to see you there!
