BLSA-Black History Month Kick Off! "Diaspora: The Effects of Imperimalism"

THIS Thursday, February 2, 2017 in Yates BLSA will be kicking off Black History Month with "Diaspora: The Effects of Imperialism."

First, the event will feature a documentary. It’s starring your fellow VLS classmates (and faculty) giving their personal stories on how imperialism has had an impact on their lives. Your fellow fighting swans are from Africa, the Caribbean, and South America. Are you asking yourself, “who is she talking about?” Well, you should come to the event and find out!

Second, there will be an open panel discussion on the lasting effects of Imperialism globally and in Black culture in the United States.

Did I mention food? Yes, FOOD!

We will be providing FREE West African food to warm your bellies!
