Biography

Molly Smith is the Program Coordinator for the Institute for Energy and the Environment. In this role, she manages the daily operations of the Institute, as well as providing logistical, marketing and communications support to the Farm and Energy Initiative. Molly has extensive experience in the environmental non-profit field, having previously held positions at the Institute for Sustainable Communities (Montpelier, VT) and the Dartmouth College Office of Sustainability (Hanover, NH). Her field of expertise includes  research and technical writing, sustainable behavioral strategies, marketing and communications. In addition to her work as Program Coordinator, Molly also co-leads the Clean Transportation research project, focused on increasing the adoption of EV vehicles in Vermont. She earned her BS from Cornell University in Ecology and Plant Science and her Master’s degree at Harvard, through the Extension School, in Sustainability and Environmental Management. Molly also serves as Chair of the Hartford Vermont Energy Commission.
