Kevin R. Mendik (VLS JD'87/MSEL'86) works for the U.S. National Park Service. Since 1990, he has been involved in NEPA compliance for projects and planning to restore historic landscapes and structures within NPS units. His work also includes adjacent land protection, Wild and Scenic River designations, and hydro licensing proceedings before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission that concern park units including the Appalachian Trail. Prior to joining the National Park Service, Kevin worked on wetlands regulation for the Town of Lexington, MA as their Conservation Administrator, and has a B.A. in Philosophy from Boston University. He has published numerous books and articles about golf history, architecture and the restoration of classic courses. He formerly served on the Board of Trustees for The Chestnut Hill School in Newton, Massachusetts, and the Commonwealth School in Boston.
