Biography
Molly McDonough oversees communications and outreach for Vermont Law School's Center for Agriculture and Food Systems. Throughout her career she has worked at the intersection of communications and food. She was the senior editor at Culture, a national magazine devoted to cheese, where her writing earned a James Beard Journalism Award nomination. Her work has also appeared in Gastro Obscura, EatingWell Magazine, Fodor’s Travel, and several higher-ed publications including Tufts Magazine, Tufts Nutrition, Dartmouth Alumni, and Boston College Magazine. Before working in communications, she worked on an organic produce farm in Massachusetts, in a cheesemaking dairy in Switzerland, and at Heifer International's regional office in Romania, where she helped manage a project supporting Carpathian Mountain shepherds to cooperatively market traditional cheeses.
Molly has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Vermont, a Master’s degree in food studies from the University of Auvergne in France, and a certificate of agribusiness from the University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine in Romania.
