Steve Letendre


Dr. Steve Letendre is a professor of economics and environmental studies at Green Mountain College and an online instructor at Vermont Law School, where he teaches Environmental Economics and Markets and Energy Regulation and the Environment. He is also an energy consultant working with a variety of organizations including the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, Solar Electric Power Association, NRG Energy, University of Vermont's Transportation Research Center, and Vermont's investor owned utility Green Mountain Power.

His work on electrical vehicles has been recognized by the US Department of Energy, and his work has been referenced in mainstream media, including New York Times and the Christian Science Monitor. His research involves the economic analysis of emerging energy technologies and the development of policies and regulations to integrate these technologies into the existing grid infrastructure.
Professor Letendre has PhD in Energy and Environmental Policy from the University of Delaware, a Master’s degree in Economics from Binghamton University and an undergraduate degree in business from Bryant University. Professor Letendre is a regular speaker at national conferences and has published over 50 technical reports and articles in leading energy journals.
