As the Faculty Director of Online Learning and Professor of Law, Linda J. Hiemer, J.D. is responsible for all academic components of Vermont Law School’s growing online JD, LLM, and master’s degree courses and programs. She supervises and coordinates online program development, course creation, teaching, and scheduling, as well as online student services. Professor Hiemer collaborates with faculty and the administration on cross-functional teams to enhance the student experience in innovative and accessible ways that further the VLS mission and strategic plan.
Prior to joining VLS in 2017, Professor Hiemer served in a variety of roles in higher education including as Vice President of Academic Affairs for University of the Rockies and as Associate Dean of Curriculum and Professor of Law with Concord Law School. Linda has 18 years of experience in online teaching and academic operations. Additionally, Linda Hiemer has been a member of the Alaska Bar (inactive) since 1992.
