Rachel Hanson '18

Biography

Born and raised in Michigan, Rachel came to VLS because of its environmental program and community mission. During her time at the ENRLC, Rachel has worked on a variety of cases—from Vermont pesticide use, peer reviewing a Ninth Circuit amicus curie brief, and traveling to the U.S. Virgin Islands to halt the use of air curtain incinerators. Presently at VLS, Rachel is also a managing editor for the Vermont Law Review, Secretary of the Animal Law Society and Moot Court Advisory Board, Vice President of the Barrister’s Board of Directors, a Student Ambassador, and a Teaching Assistant in the legal writing program.
