Ben graduated from the University of Vermont with a degree in Wildlife Biology. While exploring environmental policy through undergraduate coursework, he grew interested in energy and climate law as important mechanisms for protecting natural systems and transitioning to a more resilient economy. After college, Ben served as an AmeriCorps member for the Vermont Natural Resources Council, coordinating the grassroots Vermont Energy and Climate Action Network. In that role, he collaborated with statewide organizations and local groups across Vermont to implement renewable energy systems and energy efficient solutions for communities. Ben enrolled at Vermont Law School to build skills and expertise in energy law and policy - and to continue working toward clean, renewable solutions for our energy needs. He is excited to be a part of the IEE research team, where he can put those skills into practice.
