The supportive community and unique mission of Vermont Law School foster tightly knit bonds that endure well beyond graduation.
With a national and international network spanning all 50 states and 23 different countries, our alumni are always there to support one another as peers, advisors, mentors, and friends.
The online alumni community—vlsConnect—provides the tools and resources for alumni to engage and stay active in the Vermont Law School community. vlsConnect offers alumni an online directory, a jobs board, networking and giving opportunities, alumni event registration, unofficial transcripts, and Loquitur—Vermont Law's award-winning biannual magazine.
The elected board of the Vermont Law School Alumni Association (VLSAA) provides another important resource to all alumni, representing alumni interests to the law school, and serving the entire alumni community through its work. The VLSAA provides direct representation for alumni to the VLS Board of Trustees, provides scholarship funds to select students, coordinates volunteer and mentoring opportunities, and offers VLS students career advice and strategies for job placement.
The VLSAA also plays a key role in building and supporting regional alumni networks, working closely with both established and developing regional alumni groups as they work to create opportunities for alumni in their regions to gather with one another at events, and to build professional networks and mentoring relationships. Today, VLS alumni have VLSAA-recognized regional groups in Albany, Boston, Chicago, New Jersey, New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington DC—and more are on the way. Alumni have also formed two affinity groups—for master's program graduates and alumni working in energy law—and regularly gather at events held around the world.
