About this Course

Environmental issues have emerged as an integral component of business and government strategy, emphasizing the interdependent reality of economic, environmental, and social concerns.  This course will attempt to simulate the decision environment facing a manager.  Focus will be on the concepts of strategy and strategic management as they apply to the organization as a whole, and to the integratin of the concepts and practices of sustainable development into business and government strategies.  An important compnent of this course is an introduction to the ISO 14000 environmental management program and its application to companies in the United States and countries in transition.
