About this Course

Technical issues underlying Superfund, RCRA, the Clean Water Act, the Clean Air Act, and FIFRA will be a mystery no more!  This course is designed for people interested in toxic chemicals who are not highly trained in the sciences.  It draws fromthe key scientific fields inrisk assessment to provide students with a solid, technical understanding of pollution problems and solutions.  Lectures cover specialities such as chemistry, toxicology, epidemiology, ecotoxicology, and environmental modeling, among others.  Class exercises provide legal and policy context in which the information covered in lecture must be applied.
