Tax Center Now OpenThe IRS, Central Vermont Community Action Council, and Vermont Law School are proud to sponsor a free income tax preparation site in Davis House (114 North Windsor Street, above Magic Mountain Children's Center). The site will be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on the following Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to  1:00 p.m.: 2/9, 2/23, 3/9, 3/23, and 4/13. Former and current law students will prepare tax returns, including all states, during these times, free of charge, for families with incomes of $51,000 or less.

Clients are seen on a walk in basis, first come first served.

IRS regulations require us to verify all taxpayers' identities. You (and your spouse, if filing a joint return) will be asked to show proof of identity (i.e., Driver's License, Employer ID, School ID, Birth Certificate, Military ID, or Passport). You will also need to show a Social Security Card, an ITIN card or letter, or an SSA letter for each individual who will be listed on the return. Taxpayers who cannot substantiate their identity will be asked to seek professional tax assistance elsewhere.
