Landscape Auction: An Innovative Approach to Protecting Our WatershedThe VLS community is invited to join the Environmental and Natural Resources Law Clinic at a brown bag lunch talk with Mary Russ, executive director of the White River Partnership, to learn more about landscape auctions—an innovative financial tool for conservation.

The White River Partnership, a Royalton-based non-profit, will host the first landscape auction in the United States on August 14, 2010 at Vermont Technical College in Randolph Center. A landscape auction is a live auction that allows individuals, groups, and businesses to “adopt” elements of a landscape in need of conservation. The White River Partnership is using the landscape auction mechanism to help conserve the working landscape in the White River watershed.
