Teddy is our long-haired German Shepherd and lives with my parents in Germany. We got him from an animal shelter near the town where we live 8 years ago. He was brought there from a guy who had bought him from a breeder. The breeder tried to cover up the fact that he ran over Teddy's leg with his car and let it heal without medical attention. When the owner tried to return Teddy to the breeder and get his money back , the breeder was going to put him down. Lucky for us, the owner brought Teddy to the shelter instead.

Teddy is the quirkiest dog I have ever met: He sings to harp music; he bites water if it's in the kiddy pool we bought him, but not if it's in his water bowl; if you play with him and he can't find a toy nearby, he will bite into the ground as though there is a toy there; he hops like a bunny when he's excited; and he'll spend many an evening staring at you adoringly. On top of all that, he's always available for a cuddle.
