Student Bar Association
Dear Swans:
The Student Bar Association welcomes you to a new year at Vermont Law School. The Vermont Law Student Bar Association is here to represent your interests and needs, as all students are members of the SBA. The elected and appointed representatives cannot fulfill their obligations effectively without input from you. You may contact me or any of your SBA representatives throughout the year. You can also attend the bi-weekly Senate meetings in Chase, join committees, run for elected positions, participate in opinions polls, and attend Town Hall Meetings.
Furthermore, you should engage with the numerous student organizations here. Participation helps to build the Vermont Law School community and a well-rounded legal education. You will be able to talk with others about what you are learning in the classroom to make the information more meaningful and increase your understanding. Vermont law School has a wide range of interests, legal and non-legal, represented through student organization. I’m sure at least one will spark your interest.
Lastly, remember to enjoy the Green Mountains that surround us. I look forward to serving you as the SBA President over the 2012-2013 school year. Whether returning or new this year, I wish you the best in your educational extracurricular and personal pursuits.
Sincerely,
Rae Kinkead
President, Student Bar Association
