02/25/10: VLS Closed Again TodayVLS will remain closed today (Thursday) due to the power outage. There are downed trees and power lines on Rte. 14 off of exit 3 from Rte. 89. No estimates yet on when this will be cleared.
02/08/10: CERCLA and Air Pollution Classes Canceled Today
CERCLA Law and Policy: Due to the snow closures in the Washington, DC area, Professor Judy will not be back in Vermont in time to teach class today.
Air Pollution: Professor Clemmer's class at 2:10 is canceled today.
12/09/09: VLS Closing Early Today - Afternoon Exam Info
Vermont Law School will close today at 2:30 p.m. (Wednesday). Staff who need to leave earlier may leave at noon if they do not have responsibilities requiring their presence until 2:30.
The library will be open until midnight, as scheduled.
Chase and the computer center will also be open until midnight. After midnight, students may use these facilities but the outside doors will be locked. Students may remain after midnight and may admit other students who seek entry.
If you need to leave a vehicle overnight because of the weather, the following policy applies:
The parking lot next to Eaton house–only on the side closest to Eaton House–is designated as emergency parking for people who need to leave their vehicles overnight. VLS will take no responsibility for your vehicle. Your vehicle should be moved as soon as possible after the storm has ended. Parking in this designated area facilitates snow removal for the campus elsewhere. Overnight parking is not permitted in any other location and vehicles parked in other locations may be towed. Thank you for your cooperation.
AFTERNOON EXAM CHANGES
We have made arrangements to avoid requiring students to come to VLS this afternoon. The two exams scheduled for this afternoon have been changed as follows:
Natural Resources A (Martha Judy): Take home exam due Monday, December 14 at 5:00.
Sales (Michael McCann): Rescheduled for Saturday at 9:00 a.m.
If you receive any inquiries from students in these classes, please let them know of these changes.
Clara Gimenez and I are available to deal with students who have difficulties with the rescheduled sales exam.
POLICY REGARDING TAKE-HOME EXAMS DUE AT END OF EXAM PERIOD:
A few students have inquired about having exams e-mailed to them. We are declining those requests because of the significant amount of time to pick up and complete the exam. Students can pick up take-homes until 2:30 today and during regular VLS hours thereafter.
If you must drive, please drive with great care.
