As one of the foremost environmental law schools in the country, VLS takes innovation seriously. This means developing an up-to-date curriculum while harnessing technology to deliver it effectively.

In keeping with the school's mission "to educate students in a diverse community" and to provide our students with more flexible learning opportunities, VLS now offers two online environmental law programs that provide students with the expertise to address the increasingly complex environmental issues we face as a society.

The Master of Environmental Law and Policy (MELP) and the LLM in Environmental Law are among the first programs of their kind available in an online learning format.

Online MELP >
The Master of Environmental Law and Policy is designed to give both law and nonlaw students a deep understanding of the policies and laws shaping global environmental solutions while preparing you as a real-world agent of environmental and societal change.

Online LLM >

The LLM in Environmental Law is developed for post-JD candidates who want to specialize in the practice of environmental law in a challenging and complex world.

Faculty >

Vermont Law School hosts some of America's leading scholars, advocates, and teachers of environmental law and policy. These faculty members are experts in the field and your instructors during the MELP and LLM programs.

Courses >
Vermont Law School offers over 50 environmental law courses, more than any other law school in the world. These courses focus on numerous areas of specialization as well as vital interdisciplinary subjects.
