Charitable Lead Trust
A charitable lead trust is the opposite of a charitable remainder trust. If you provide for Vermont Law School through a charitable lead trust, we will receive immediate annual payments for a term of years, after which the assets may be transferred to your heirs, substantially tax free. This can prove to be a sensible arrangement for those who fall into the top gift and tax brackets.
You should consult your attorney or tax advisor when establishing a charitable lead trust.
